Default top 3 things I would like to see added

Not in any particular order.

1) Night and Day. This could really open up alot of possibilities. Like night/day missions or quests and night or day monsters. Also for the guild halls. Merchants only open during the day and what not.

2) The ability to enter buildings. It is so strange to walk up to a door and slam into it. I remember in FFXI that was one of the coolest, that and the airship/boat rides. So was night and day.

3) Guild Hall addons like Npcs, this had really been overdiscused so I will just say we need them and not go into it further.

I really miss #1 and #2, please add these at some point. Not to mention just about every other MMO out there already has this except #3. Guild halls are new to me but very cool.

1. Has been suggested a lot, and is good idea.
2. Buildings wouldn't have anything in them, so what is the point. Unless you want to put vendors in buildings, but they are hard enough to find, and far enough away from each other enough.
3. Good idea

and wtf is up with Xunlai agent? She's always hiding in the most inconvenient place possible! I often feel like mapping all the way back to Sardelac just to be someplace where you can see her and the merchant at the same time.

Night and Day will probably come with the expansion, although I hope it doesn't mimic real world night and day. This is a cool idea, but the problem is that most people would always be playing at the same time. I hope that they do it on a 20 hour cycle instead of 24, that way if you log in at day you'll likely log out at day, but the sun would shift with each session so you end up playing at all times of day.

Enter buildings? Totally... it would take a lot of work, but if they are to make us believe that this is a world it must be done.

1) I like the idea of day and night. I dont like the idea of merchants only being open during the day, that would be a huge inconvience. Just imagine all the threads that would start about that.

2) I hadnt even considered this until you mentioned it. That being said, wow, they have done a great job with making the buildings be there, but not be overly important. So, Ill have to go with 'nah' on this idea. If you could enter buildings, then there would need to be stuff in them. I like straight lines, making me go through doors would get annoying.

3) I dont think there is a person who has beaten the game that wouldnt agree with this.

Night and day exist in missions. Some are done at night, some are done at day. It goes with the storyline. I don't think a cycle of the two would compliment the graphics and scenery that well, nor is a lack of it taking away from the gaming experience. Let them focus on other details to improve the game, just my opinion.

Nah. Most of the buildings appear to be houses anyways. Merchants and traders are all outside, so what could possibly be the point of going into the buildings? Give a reason and then you might find some logic as to why it would be an improvement.

To me being able to buildings is an important game dynamic. Most of the time you can either find quests or vendors in them. As for night and day if i remember right they actually are open 24/7 in FFXI.

I understand the basic fundamental that Guild Wars is working on... which is speed. The ability to get things done as quick as possible. Which is awesome for the casual gamer and the more hard core gamer alike. There comes a point where you shouldn't rush things or the game stops becomming 3D and then becomes 2D. I mean going from point A to point B is what you are really doing. You forget to look at those blades of grass and the pretty good detail they have worked into this game. I remember the first time i saw a waterfall and it looked awesome, or the first time I saw the village near Ashford from a hill and it looked awesome.

One of the things that keeps the game awesome for me and more surreal is night and day, plus the ability from entering buildings, and vehicles. I remember my first boat ride in FFXI and it was awesome, or your first airship ride. But vehicles just arn't needed in Guild Wars because of Map Travel which is awesomes so I didn't mention it before, but I still miss it.

1) YES! I thought there would be when I read the handbook, it has that little thing about the calendar system of Tyria, so why not put that to use?

2) Maybe. I would rather have all the merchant NPCs closer together so I could just get everything I need in one place, but going inside buildings would be nice... There's just too many buildings to fill. But if we were to be able to go inside buildings, they should have signs in front of them saying which merchant is inside (if any) so they can be found easily--and there should be a Xunlai Agent in each one! Haha!

3) Overdiscussed is right. My view is still that Guild Halls need a major upgrade.

Mmmm...I played WoW at night all the time, and was very sad how dark it was all the time. I'm at school during the day (college) and I have things to do before I can play. I would not like night-time Guild Wars, it would be depressing...me and Alesia, lost in Pockmark Flats, can't find Moa Birds to kill and Gargoyles keep jumping out at us...sad, sad, sad...

I meant more of a shorter cycle, like a 2 hour life cycle.

Thumbs up

How cool would that be to have GvG match at night!? I would like to see all three of these ideas in the game as well.

I used to agree on night/day, but then I realzied that it happens during missions so its pointless.

Entering buildings would serve no real purpose. Why waste time creating whole new objects for the game when you could focus on things that can actually improve the gameplay?

As a side note, let me say that you should never mention "like in FFXI" as a good thing. That game was an instruction manual on what not to do with an MMO. Heck, if you want to make it more like FFXI, lets cut out all vocie acting, drop players in a city with no direction of what they should be doing, and make the cities so big they cover a few pages of worthless maps

Some places are set in night and some are set in day time, I personally don't like this idea anyway seeing as this game is for everyone in the world and if you can only get on at a certain time, you'd be missing out on certain events during the time you're not on.

Personally I'm glad you can't enter buildings. I mean seriously, in real life if someone just barged in my house I wouldn't be like, "Hello, would you like 100 gold?", I'd be more like, "Get the hell out of my house before I kick your ass!"

We need guild hall add ons, and I think Arena net is working on that. The frog in lion's arch said so I believe.
